Tuesday, 08 July at 5pm - NSWBAR Common Room - Common Law Update 2025

The NSW Bar Association’s Common Law Committee is pleased to invite you to attend a seminar addressing recent developments in the common law.  The seminar is intended to serve as an introduction to the upcoming Common Law Case Notes Project, and will involve a discussion of recent decisions on topics including negligence, vicarious liability of institutional defendants for the tortious conduct of their employees, and the removal of limitation periods for damages actions relating to child abuse.

The seminar will be presented by Hilbert Chiu SC and James Lee of Tenth Floor Chambers, and James Thompson of Jack Shand Chambers.  It will be held in-person at 5pm on 8 July 2025.
