Thursday, 10 September at 5.30pm - Banco Court - 2026 Bathurst Lecture
“Honey, I shrunk the director pool: Why listed company directors want out, what this is doing to our economy, and what can we do about it?”
The Commercial Law Section will hold the 2026 Bathurst Lecture at 5:30pm on Thursday, 10 September 2026 in the Banco Court.
The lecture will be delivered by Rebecca Maslen-Stannage, the Chair and Senior Partner of Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer and one of the most experienced corporations lawyers in Australia.
Ms Maslen-Stannage will address the present challenges facing directors of ASX-listed companies from both a legal and commercial perspective.
The Bathurst Lecture is named after the Hon T F Bathurst AC KC, former Chief Justice of New South Wales, and is held each year in the Banco Court on a topic of commercial law. This lecture will be held in person.
