Should Environmental Crime Be Prosecuted in a Specialist Environmental Court

Join the Climate Change Panel on Thursday, 1 December at 5 pm for a live debate

between Tim Game SC and Georgina Wright SC on environmental prosecutions.

It is widely recognised that the protection, preservation and sustainable development of our environment is one of the most demanding

and challenging global issues of the 21st century.

This CPD Seminar, hosted in person in the NSW Bar Common Room, will raise the question of how the law

effectively responds to environmental crime to prevent, control and abate environmental harm.

Tim Game SC will argue that environmental prosecutions should be handled in the general criminal court. Georgina Wright SC will argue that specialist environmental courts are best suited to adjudicate on environmental offences.

Time: 5:00pm-6:00pm

When: Thursday 1 December 2022
