The Diversity and Equality Committee is pleased to host the fifth annual Sybil Morrison Lecture on Wednesday 16 August 2023, at 5pm.

The annual lecture is a celebration of the life of Sybil Morrison, the first woman to practise at the New South Wales Bar.

 

The Lecture will be held in the Bar Association’s Common Room and commence at 5pm, with arrivals from 4.45pm.

Numbers are strictly limited and online registration is essential.

 

The 2023 Lecture will honour the Honourable Acting Justice Carolyn Simpson AO KC for her exceptional judicial career, spanning a quater of a century, and her trailblazing contributions to the legal profession and law reform.  

 

The lecture will be chaired by the Governor of NSW, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC and presented by the 2023 Katrina Dawson Award recipients, Imogen Hogan and Monica Agunialdo,

 

Light refreshments will be provided after the Lecture.
