An open invitation to members of the
New South Wales Bar Association
The President & the Bar Council have the pleasure of inviting all members of the New South Wales Bar Association to the 2021 Bench & Bar Dinner.
The dinner will take place Friday 25 March 2022, in the Grand Ballroom of
the Hyatt Regency Sydney, timings will be confirmed early 2022.
The Guest of Honour for 2021 will be the Honourable Virginia Bell AC formerly of the High Court of Australia. After working for several years as a solicitor at the Redfern Legal Centre her Honour joined the NSW Bar in 1984. After taking Silk in 1997 her Honour was appointed to the Supreme Court in March of 1999. Not long after being appointed to the Court of Appeal her Honour became the 48th Justice appointed to the High Court of Australia, where she served from February of 2009 to February of 2021.
Ms Junior is Ms Helen Roberts SC from the Crown Prosecutors Chambers - Sydney
Mr Senior is Mr Nicholas Owens SC from Fifth Floor St James' Hall
